Bridget and Michael Carey were from Ireland and immigrated to the US when 16 years of age. They ended up in Virginia City where Bridget gave birth to nine children of which only five survived. This information can be verified through the on-line census information for Storey County available from the Historic Preservation Office in the State of Nevada. |
